The use of spatial audio formats utilizing object-oriented techniques like Dolby Atmos, L-Acoustics L-ISA, and D&B Soundscape, can simulate realistic sound placement and movement, making it feel like sounds are coming from specific directions or distances. Electronic acoustic systems like Yamaha AFC and Meyer Constellation can simulate the sound and feel of a cathedral within a small or dry room.
