Job Description:
The Design Technik manufacturing shop is in need of a passionate craftsman for a Cabinet Maker/Shop Lead position. You will produce high-quality acoustic products, recording studio reference monitors and studio furniture using Lean Management Principles, and manage the shop floor.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience cabinet and furniture making
-
Experience managing a manufacturing shop preferred but not required

Production using Lean Manufacturing Principles

OSHA Forklift Certification (We will certify)
Responsibilities:

Cut, assemble, shape, and prepare products for Jnishing
-
Collaborate with design, engineering, and Finishing team to produce design integrity

Develop Lean manufacturing processes
-
Operate and train shop staff how to operate and maintain machines and tools i.e., CNC, saws, shapers, etc
-
Track and manage production work, processes, and time in manufacturing software
-
Schedule labor and materials for production in manufacturing software
-
Manage and track inventory levels in manufacturing software
-
Manage machine cleaning and maintenance to minimize downtime and failures
-
Work with machine service and support team to minimize downtime

Optimize production process to mitigate idle time, increase eUciency and production capacity
